The Top Eight Pet Peeves That Can Make You The Scrooge of Christmas

Updated: Jun 23, 2023

Are you hosting your holiday party this year, or are you going to a holiday party? Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus – it doesn't matter; we are celebrating the December holidays worldwide. It isn't all about presents and lights and carols and candy canes. Although we aren't getting together for a big celebration, or at least we should not be getting together with people outside our home, let's imagine, okay? That being said, a few things are pretty annoying about the holidays and the days preceding. I thought that to celebrate the holidays, I would list 8 of the most popular pet peeves for this time of the year. This list is in no particular order so without further ado, let us begin:

Visiting friends and family at a cold house

Missing a favorite TV show

Screaming children

Awkward conversations

The Over-Commercialization of Christmas

Christmas Displays in Stores Before It's Even Halloween - Why Rush The Season So Much?

Crazy Drivers On The Road - 'Tis the season for reckless driving and holiday traffic and parking lots.

Holiday Music Overload: Even if you love holiday music, enough is enough!

Which pet peeve from the list do you find the most annoying, or is there something that's not mentioned? Everyone basically deals with the same type of stuff with their families and friends. The crazy uncle, your grandpa is telling you how to cook, your cousin is drinking out the bottle, and thinks there is no problem, and so much more. However, this year marks a new grim milestone in the COVID-19 pandemic at more than 300,000 deaths in the United States. The virus is raging and changing! Despite these annoying family members, friends, and crowds, what would we do to be in their company and over crowded malls this year?
