Le Vésinet, France is where Josephine Baker lived during the height of her long and career. When one thinks of Josephine Baker, one thinks of Paris. And rightly so, because Josephine’s legend began there over 80 years ago. She arrived in the City of Light at a unique time in history. Her story aired on HBO in 1991, played by Lynn Whitfield and a must see movie before your travel to Paris, France. I especially had a greater appreciation of my Black Paris walking tour.
International destinations play a massive roll in Box Office hits, and they are the perfect inspiration for the makings of a dream vacation. Motion pictures like the Gladiator and the two main scenes from Orcia Valley, Tuscany are the building blocks for a mind-blowing itinerary. The rolling green hills and the Medieval castles offer numerous and diverse opportunities for scenic photography or Instagram pics. Then there is the cinema Eat, Love, and Pray and the scene at L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele. It’s off the beaten path but a perfect place for lunch after some shopping on the streets of Via Toledo while in Naples, Italy.
Movies open the door of infinite possibilities for designing and creating an itinerary for wonder and discovery. Global travel brings the scenes from movies to life and incredible adventures (and stories to tell), cuisines, and you’ll make friends from across the globe.
